Creating your account

SimGrid doesn't use passwords. You sign in with your Discord or Steam account, and your profile is created the first time you do.

1. Click Login · Register in the top right of any page (on mobile, it's in the header).
2. In the Login or Register window, choose Discord or Steam.
3. Approve the request on Discord or Steam. You'll be sent back to SimGrid and signed in.

New accounts go through a short setup guide:

1. Welcome: tell us how you want to race. Choose I want to race in leagues and championships, I want to race in daily races or I want to do both, accept the terms and click Get Started.
2. About: add your name, nationality, preferred language and a short bio.
3. Games: follow the games you play so we can recommend events for them.
4. Communities: follow communities that run leagues you're interested in.
5. Drivers: follow friends and rivals to see their results in your feed.
6. Join a race: optionally jump straight into an upcoming race.

You can change any of these later from your profile. See Your profile and connected accounts.

If you've ended up with two SimGrid accounts (for example, one from Discord and one from Steam), you can merge them instead of starting again. See Your profile and connected accounts.
