Creating a community

Apply for a community, what approval means, and the Free, Lite and Pro plans.
2 min read

A community is your league's home on SimGrid. It has a public page where drivers can find and follow you, and an admin area where you run your events. Creating one is free.

Apply for a community

  1. Sign in, then click Create Community in your profile menu, or Create a Community in the footer.
  2. On the community page, click Create your community.
  3. Fill in the Community Application:
    • General Information: community name, vanity URL, description, location, time zone and primary language.
    • Design: your logo and banner image.
    • Social: your website and social links. A Discord invite link is required.
  4. Accept the terms and click Apply Now.
    The Community Application form.
  5. Check your details on the review page, then click Submit Application (or Edit Application to make changes).

Approval

The SimGrid team reviews every new community before it can create events. You can set up your page while you wait. Your communities are listed in your profile settings under My Communities, and you can open the admin area from there with the pencil icon.

Plans

Every community starts on the free plan, which includes unlimited events, results, standings, stewarding, driver rating requirements and hosted LMU servers. Paid plans add more:

  • Lite: the Discord bot, your own sponsors instead of our ads, community leaderboards, featured placement on the home page, event feature badges, and collaborating on other communities' events.
  • Pro: everything in Lite, plus overall and grouped standings, attendance requirements, ACC and AC Evo server tools, inviting collaborators, and GridOS API access.

See Plans and billing for how to upgrade.
