By entering an ANIMUS Championship event, every driver agrees to race respectfully and follow the regulations below.
Drivers are expected to race competitively while maintaining control of their car.
Hard racing is encouraged.
Intentional contact, retaliation, deliberately forcing another driver off track or behaviour designed to ruin another driver's race will not be tolerated.
Clean racing comes before finishing position.
Drivers must exercise additional caution during the opening lap, particularly Turn 1 and the first sequence of corners.
The field is compressed, braking points change and drivers may react earlier than expected.
Drivers should:
• Brake with additional margin
• Expect cars alongside
• Leave sufficient racing room
• Avoid forcing disappearing gaps
• Avoid unrealistic opening-lap divebombs
Avoidable Lap 1 / Turn 1 incidents will be penalized more heavily than equivalent incidents later in the race.
A major opening-lap incident may result in 10–30 seconds, DSQ or further disciplinary action depending on the consequences.
The attacking driver is responsible for attempting an overtake in a controlled and realistic manner.
A driver should not force their car into a gap that is clearly disappearing or rely on the other driver taking evasive action to prevent contact.
Drivers who have established legitimate overlap must be given reasonable racing room.
Drivers may defend their position but must do so predictably.
Dangerous blocking, reactionary moves under braking and deliberately squeezing another driver off the circuit are prohibited.
Drivers should always leave sufficient space when another car has established meaningful overlap.
Any driver leaving the racing surface must rejoin safely.
The returning driver is responsible for ensuring the rejoin does not interfere with approaching traffic.
Unsafe rejoins that cause another driver to brake, leave the track or make contact may receive a penalty.
Race incidents may be reviewed after each official event.
Race Control primarily investigates:
• Avoidable collisions
• Unsafe rejoins
• Forcing another driver off track
• Dangerous driving
• Serious opening-lap incidents
• Intentional or retaliatory contact
Where available, stewards may review multiple camera angles, telemetry, driver positioning and the circumstances leading into the incident.
Race Control will determine which driver was predominantly responsible.
If clear responsibility cannot reasonably be assigned:
NFA — No Further Action
NFA → WARNING
Light or incidental contact with little or no meaningful consequence.
WARNING → +5 SECONDS
Examples include:
• Avoidable rear-end contact
• Forcing another driver off track
• Minor damage or time loss
• Unsafe rejoin causing light contact
+10 → +20 SECONDS
Examples include:
• Causing another driver to spin
• Significant damage or position loss
• Heavy or unrealistic divebomb
• Serious unsafe rejoin
• Incident affecting multiple cars
+20 → +30 SECONDS / DSQ / RACE BAN
Examples include:
• Major multi-car collision
• Causing another driver's retirement through dangerous driving
• Intentional wrecking
• Retaliation
• Extremely dangerous behaviour
• Repeated serious offences
Race Control may increase or reduce penalties depending on severity, consequences, mitigating circumstances and previous offences.
Standard AMS2 penalties such as:
• Track limits
• Pit-lane speeding
• Jump starts
• Other automated race-control offences
are normally handled by the game.
Race Control may intervene where necessary.
Results shown immediately after the race should be considered provisional until post-race stewarding has been completed.
Race Control penalties may alter the official finishing order and championship standings.
Once official results are published, those results become the recognised ANIMUS classification.
Race Control may apply stronger penalties to drivers who repeatedly cause avoidable incidents.
Repeated unsafe behaviour may result in:
Warning → Increased Time Penalty → DSQ → Race Suspension → Championship Removal
ANIMUS welcomes drivers of different skill levels.
Being slower than another driver is not a problem.
Being unpredictable, reckless or disrespectful is.
Race hard.
Leave room.
Respect your competitors.
Finish the race knowing the result was earned on track.
CLEAN RACING • FAIR DECISIONS • REAL CONSEQUENCES
