Track / Layout variants are not penalized in a race by the game, as the one we use are slower than the standard racing line.
Drivers will still receive the message: (Track Limits: no time gained).
Use of these variants will not result in any +1 track limit warning, or penalize u in any other way.

Qualifying is run on the Original layout to get Valid Laps for Qualifying .
RACE WEEKEND:
• Free Practice 1 → NEW Track Variant
• Free Practice 2 → ORIGINAL Layout
• Qualifying → ORIGINAL Layout
• Race 1 (& 2) → NEW Track Variant
Any use of the wrong layout during a race weekend could result in a heavy penalty.
During Free Practice sessions a ‘Steward car’ can be placed on track to guide the cars on the correct layout.
