Description and Instructions

TOGA Traffic Management Challenge | LMU Multiclass at Barcelona

Three classes. One circuit. Every overtake needs a plan.

Join TOGA Motorsport for a 45-minute multiclass sprint at Barcelona in Le Mans Ultimate.

With LMGT3, LMP2 and LMP3 sharing the circuit, outright pace is only part of the challenge. Knowing when to pass, when to wait and how to stay predictable could make the difference between a clean finish and an early trip to the pits.

You’ll race against drivers in your own class while navigating traffic from the other two.

Thursday 24 September 2026 · Practice from 19:30 UK

Choose your challenge

LMGT3 — stay composed in traffic

Fight for position in your class while faster prototypes work their way through. Predictable driving and awareness will help you protect your race without unnecessarily giving away time.

LMP2 — make the right move

You’ll be the fastest class on the circuit. Closing speed brings responsibility: plan passes, leave room and recognise when waiting until the next straight is the better decision.

LMP3 — manage both sides of the battle

Catch and pass LMGT3 cars while keeping an eye on approaching LMP2 traffic. You’ll need to balance your own overtakes with the faster cars coming through.

How the race works

  • Qualifying: Sets the starting order under the event’s configured multiclass grid rules.
  • Race: One 45-minute sprint with all three classes sharing the track.
  • Class battles: Your main competition is the other drivers in your chosen class.
  • Weather: Static & Dry

The traffic-management challenge is part of the racing itself. Make your decisions count, keep the car clean and give yourself the best chance of finishing strongly.

Thursday's timetable

All times are UK local time—BST.

  • 19:30 — Practice: 20 minutes
  • 19:50 — Qualifying: 12 minutes
  • Approximately 20:02 — Race: 45 minutes
  • Expected finish: Around 20:50, allowing for the session transition and grid formation

Racing standards

For faster-class drivers:

  • Take responsibility for completing a safe overtake.
  • Make your intentions clear and allow for the other car’s braking points and cornering speed.
  • Avoid late lunges that force another driver to take avoiding action.
  • Be prepared to wait when there isn’t a safe opportunity.

For drivers being overtaken:

  • Stay predictable and avoid sudden changes of direction.
  • You do not need to throw your car off the racing line simply because a faster class is approaching.
  • Once an overtake is underway, leave racing room and work together to get through safely.

For everyone:

  • Check before rejoining after a spin or excursion.
  • Respect battles taking place in other classes.
  • Keep disagreements out of race chat and use the incident-reporting process.

Incident reports: Via Discord at the end of the race
