🏁 AC EVO MYSG: Rules of Engagement

Our goal is simple: Same passion. Better racing. We want everyone to push those JDM legends to the limit and have an epic night, but not at the expense of someone else's race. Please read and respect the following guidelines.

1. The Golden Rule: Respect Your Rivals

  • Race hard, but fair: Treat other drivers how you want to be treated. We are here to have fun, not to ruin someone else's evening for a single position.
  • Patience is a virtue: Races are not won in Turn 1. Give everyone space off the starting line and let the grid settle before attempting high-risk moves.

2. Overtaking & Defending

  • The "Significant Overlap" Rule: To claim a corner, the attacking car must have their front bumper alongside the defending car's B-pillar (doors) before the turn-in point. If you aren't there, back out and live to fight another corner.
  • Leave-a-Space: If a car has established significant overlap, you must leave them at least one car width on the track through the corner.
  • One Move to Defend: The defending car is allowed one change of direction to protect their line. Weaving back and forth on the straights (blocking) is strictly prohibited.

3. Incidents & Redressing

  • The "Wait" Protocol (Redressing): If you punt another driver off the track or gain an unfair advantage through contact, you must safely pull over and let them pass you back. Redressing an incident immediately will usually prevent further penalties from the stewards.
  • Safe Re-entry: If you spin or go off-track, wait until the track is clear before rejoining. Do not reverse or drive perpendicular onto a live race track. Use your relative delta/track map!

4. General Track Etiquette

  • Blue Flags (Lapped Traffic): If you are being lapped, hold your predictable racing line. It is the responsibility of the faster car to make the overtake safely. However, do not aggressively defend against a car putting you a lap down.
  • Track Limits: Keep at least two wheels on the white lines or curbs. Repeatedly extending track limits to gain time will result in automatic in-game penalties.
  • Comms Discipline: Keep voice chat clear during qualifying and the race. Save the banter (and the apologies) for the post-race lobby or text chat.

Steward's Note: Accidents happen—it's part of racing! If you make a mistake, own up to it and apologize. A quick "my bad" in the chat goes a long way in keeping the community friendly and fun.
