Welcome drivers to the ARL GT2/GT3 Legacy Challenge. This will be a 6 round, multi-class series featuring GT2s and the older(Legacy) GT3s. Each race will be 80 minutes and feature 1 mandatory stop for fuel(25sec fixed stop), tires will always be optional. Each driver will only have 4 sets of tires for the entire race weekend. A 20min split-class qualy will be used each round. Each class will have an allotted 10min to qualify. A success ballast will be used for the top 3 in each class(1st=8kg/2nd=6kg/3rd=4kg). Real world weather(Accuweather) will be used each round. Class winners for the series will receive a prize, based on shipping.
🗣️Mandatory Drivers Meeting: Held on ARL discord 10 minutes before the event starts. Failure to attend meetings can lead to removal from the series.
🛞Official Practice: 45min open practice session immediately following the Drivers Meeting. Only 4 sets of tires for the entire race weekend!
⏱️20min Split-Class Qualy: Each class will have 10min to qualify. GT2s in the first 10min. Legacy GT3s in the last 10min.
🏎️80min Race: Features 1 mandatory stop for fuel(25sec fixed stop), tires optional. Full formation lap.
GT2s will always go out first during split-class qualy. No passing in Sector 3 of the outlap. Everyone should be creating a 3-5 second gap to the car in front of you. No passing during hotlaps unless the car ahead invalidates their lap. If you are not on a hotlap, please stay off the racing line. GT3s may start lining up at the pit exit line at the 11 minute mark. GT3s are not allowed on track until the 10 minute mark. At that time, GT2s should be finishing their last lap(if started before the 10min mark) or heading back to the pits.
Blue flagged drivers are not required to move for faster traffic. We ask that you stay on your racing line and do not defend in and out of the corners. If possible, you can lift on a straight to help facilitate a pass. It is the faster car’s responsibility to make a safe pass on blue flags. Please use caution during yellow flags. Be ready to reduce speed if needed and take avoiding action. Causing an additional wreck while going full speed into an incident can result in higher penalties. Common sense is the best tool in these situations
