Championship Rules & Regulations
1. General & Discord Etiquette
-
Driver Identity: Your Discord nickname in the host servers must match your in-game name.
-
Sportsmanship: Zero tolerance for abusive language in Discord, in-game chat, or DMs. Callouts in public channels are prohibited; use the incident ticket system.
-
Responsibility: The primary aim is zero contact. It is the chasing car’s duty to overtake safely. If you cause an incident, return the position safely when possible.
2. Driving Standards & Racing Etiquette
-
Overtaking: Moves must be executed cleanly without contact. You must be sufficiently alongside (at least front wheel to rear wheel) before the corner to claim racing room. "Dive-bombing" is strictly prohibited.
-
Defending: One defensive move is permitted per straight. Weaving to break a slipstream or moving under braking is strictly forbidden.
-
Track Limits: Rejoin the track safely without impeding on-track traffic. Gaining a lasting advantage off-track must be corrected (yield position within 1 lap).
-
Incidents: If you lose control or spin, hold your brakes to make your car's movement predictable.
-
Yellow Flags & Safety Cars: No overtaking under yellow flags. Drivers must lift off the throttle when approaching an incident. During Safety Car periods, maintain position until crossing the Start/Finish line on the green flag restart.
3. Fast Repair Policy
-
Availability: Teams will have 1 Fast Repair available during the race to cover netcode incidents or emergencies.
-
Fair Use: Any abuse of the Fast Repair system will be heavily penalized by the Race Director. Decisions regarding Fast Repair abuse are final and cannot be challenged.
4. Multi-Class Etiquette
-
Slower Classes (GT3): Maintain your predictable racing line. Do not yield or alter your line unexpectedly like under blue flags when being approached by a faster class.
-
Faster Classes (Hypercar): It is your responsibility to complete the overtake safely. Aggressive overtakes or contact caused by a faster class on a slower class will carry severe steward penalties.
5. Blue Flags
- Blue flags are advisory. Lapped cars should hold a predictable line but facilitate a quick pass by lifting on a straight line when a faster car is within 3 seconds.
- Lapped cars are forbidden from defending their position against a lapping car.
- Passing cars may flash headlights once per straight as an intention to pass. Excessive flashing is considered unsportsmanlike.
6. Session & Pit Rules
-
Qualifying: Maintain a minimum 5-second gap to the car ahead on out-laps. Out-lap cars must yield to cars on flying hot laps. You must only be on track during your designated class qualifying slot.
-
Pit Lane: Do not cross pit entry/exit lines. Cars exiting the pit lane must blend safely; cars on track must allow a car's width for exiting pit traffic.
-
Post-Race: Stop your car safely off the track after the checkered flag before returning to pits. Post-race intentional collisions are strictly forbidden.
7. In-Race Stewarding, Incident Tickets & Conduct
-
Steward Discussion Conduct: No complaining, arguing, or unsportsmanlike behavior will be tolerated in discussion channels or ticket chats regarding steward calls. Any toxic behavior toward race control or stewards will result in immediate penalties.
-
Race Recording Requirement: All drivers are required to save the replay of their stint. Failure to provide requested video footage during an investigation will result in an automatic 5 to 30-second additional time penalty.
-
Incident Tickets: Post-race incident tickets will open after the race in SimGrid Ticket System and remain open for 24 hours.
-
Failure to Respond: Failing to respond or submit video to an incident ticket brought against you will result in escalating penalties.
